KELOWNA – A huge police take down in Kelowna Thursday night lead to the arrest of two men deemed to be dangerous prolific offenders.

Just after 7 p.m., member of the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Teams spotted one of the men entering a known drug house on High Road near Glenmore Road.

Police surrounded the house in protected positions, guns drawn to attempt to arrest the 38-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding warrants.

He was deemed to be armed and dangerous due to an alleged assault in West Kelowna April 7.

The Sicamous man was taken into custody peacefully after negotiations with RCMP for his surrender.

He now faces new charges of Assault with a Weapon and pointing a firearm from last week’s incident.
