Woman in life-threatening condition after stabbing at Mississauga home

Peel Regional Police say a 60-year-old woman is in life-threatening condition after a stabbing at a Mississauga home Wednesday afternoon.

Police said officers received a call just after 3:50 p.m. with reports of a stabbing near Airport Road and Derry Road East.

When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found a woman who was stabbed.

She was then transported to a Toronto trauma centre.

Police said investigators are searching for a 59-year-old man, who is related to the victim. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hamilton resident Norman Tim Cormier. Officers said he is wanted for attempted murder.

Cormier was last seen driving a white 2018 Nissan Micra with the Ontario licence plate CFLN 389, police said.
