TORONTO – Canadian actor Jim Carrey is reteaming with director Steve Oedekerk, who wrote and directed his hit Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and wrote Bruce Almighty, for a new comedy.

Carrey, 51, will star in Stanicky as an out-of-work actor hired by a group of friends to play the part of a fictitious friend they use as an alibi.
Oedekerk will write and direct.
Carrey recently starred in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and shows up next in the made-in-Toronto flick Kick-Ass 2.
