Winnipeg Police were on scene at about 1 p.m. and told Global News it was likely unfounded, but they took precautions just in case.

Police said Brock Corydon School, an area elementary school, has also been evacuated due to a similar threat.

Kelvin’s students were moved to neighbouring St. Mary’s Academy until the investigation was complete.

Global News heard reports that a student phoned in a threat at lunchtime. Police have not confirmed that detail.
