Thatcher died peacefully this morning following a stroke.

She came to Vancouver during Expo 86 at the height of her career when she was one of the most powerful political leaders in the world. While here, the Iron Lady forged a lasting close relationship with local billionaire Jimmy Pattison, who reminisced to Global News about the kind of person and leader she was.
