Halifax police clear scene after investigating weapons complaint in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police have reopened the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth, N.S., after responding to a weapons complaint.

Police say that at approximately 12:31 p.m., officers responded to a call that a man with a firearm was seen entering an apartment in the area.

Multiple units responded to the call but no man was located in the apartment and no firearm was located.

Police have now cleared the scene and say there is no threat to public safety.
