OTTAWA – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to consume Trophy brand Hazelnuts In Shell because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The product has been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and may have been distributed to other provinces.

There have been no reports of anyone becoming ill from eating the nuts.
Trophy Foods Inc., of Calgary, is recalling the affected product.
