Man shot at downtown Edmonton apartment building

Edmonton police said a man is in serious condition after being shot downtown during a party on Wednesday morning.

Just before 4 a.m., police and emergency services were called to the Rossdale House building on 103 Street near Bellamy Hill Road.

A party was happening at the apartment building, when two men got into a dispute and one of the men was shot in the upper body, police said.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to hospital in serious condition, but police said he’s expected to survive.

Police said they’re searching for the suspect and continue to investigate the shooting.
