TORONTO – Nominations for Canada’s Walk of Fame opened Monday, allowing the public to pick Canadians who have excelled in music, film, television, literature, sports and the arts.

Fans can suggest deserving individuals at the Walk of Fame website and Facebook page.

“As always, we want to engage Canadians to participate in this selection process,” said Mary Pompili of Canada’s Walk of Fame, in a release.  “Last year, nearly 30,000 Canadians from 135 countries submitted their nomination. We look forward to another great year of nominations.”
