RCMP called to fatal crash near Lloydminster on Easter Sunday

LOYDMINSTER, Sask. – RCMP were called to a fatal collision north of Lloydminster on Easter Sunday.

At approximately 8 a.m., members received a call about a two vehicle crash on Highway 3 in the RM of Britannia.

A westbound semi truck hauling environmental equipment collided head-on with an eastbound Nissan Titan.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Both the driver and passenger of the semi were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Mounties say there was light snow and roads were slippery at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
