Fifty volunteers gathered Thursday to help build the Jumpstart Play Finds a Way playground, scheduled to open this fall in Grant Park.
The national charity is an initiative by Canadian Tire to offer access to sport and recreation to kids facing financial and accessibility challenges.
Cash raised in each Jumpstart chapter stays within the community.

“What we’re really trying to push here is inclusive play,” said Scott Fraser, President of Jumpstart.
“It really is a beautiful thing to witness all kids play together.”
Mayor Brian Bowman said the play structure, one of many new elements going up around the Pam Am Pool, will be one of the largest accessible playgrounds in the city.

The 10,000 sq. ft. playground is located at 25 Poseidon Bay, between Grant and Taylor Avenues.
