Nic Demski has always enjoyed playing football in his hometown of Winnipeg, ever since his days with the Oak Park Raiders and University of Manitoba Bisons.
“It’s home… It’s somewhere comfortable for me,” said Demski.
“It’s a great feeling and that had a lot to do with me coming back home.”

Before returning to Winnipeg, Demski was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders 6th overall in the 2015 draft.
Demski would play three seasons in Regina, putting up over 700 yards and 3 touchdowns throughout his tenure.
Back on his home turf of Investors Group Field, Demski already has racked up over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Demski’s touchdown celebration in Friday’s 29-23 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats got lots of the football world talking.
He ran over to the U of M logo inside the end-zone and proceeded to flip the pages on the book in the logo.
“Back when I was playing for the Bisons, I scored a big touchdown and I flipped the pages… except I did it the wrong way,” Demski said with a chuckle.
“I had to come back out here and redeem myself, and to show everyone I do know how to read a book.”

Blue Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea says he enjoys seeing his players having fun on the field.
That’s one of the main reasons why we went out and got him, O’Shea said. “Watching him through university and seeing how talented he is, and it’s nice to be able to bring a guy like that back home.”
