Hamilton police have made an arrest after issuing a warrant for the driver of a car that slammed into an apartment building over the weekend.
Police say a 2007 Infiniti G35, reportedly stolen from Guelph hours before the collision, crashed into the building at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Hamilton police say they have arrested a 17-year-old youth who has been identified as the driver of the vehicle; because of his age, however, his name has not been released.
Police initially said he was wanted for dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to remain at the scene of a crash, theft over $5,000, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

A passenger in the car, a 17-year-old Hamilton boy, is recovering from injuries he suffered in the crash. Police say the driver fled the scene, leaving his passenger to be extricated from the vehicle.
Investigators say they believe the crash occurred as two vehicles were racing.
