Learner without supervising driver clocked 70 km/h over speed limit in Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Police Service’s traffic unit posted on Twitter it clocked a learner driver going 70 kilometres per hour over the posted speed limit.

The motorist was without a supervising driver when caught going 130 km/h on 22nd Street.

It occurred in a 60 km/h zone.

According to the tweet on Aug. 7, the driver was issued a $1,022 ticket for the speed as well as $150 for the licence violation.

The vehicle will be been impounded for seven days.
