Private companies have been reportedly leaving these kits on doorsteps, which includes a bottle and instructions for taking a water sample.
WSA said the bottles appear unclean and the instructions are incorrect.
Officials said homeowners should exercise caution before purchasing any water purification kits at the doorstep.
WSA partners with Saskatchewan municipalities to ensure drinking water is safe, in accordance with national standards.
