Health officials are warning party-goers to stay safe following the tragic death of a 17-year-old girl from Kamloops at the Centre of Gravity festival. Jules Knox reports – Jul 30, 2018

The Kamloops teen who died at Kelowna’s Centre of Gravity festival on Friday night had dreams of a career in medicine, according to a GoFundMe Page.

Sixteen-year-old Adison Davies is being remembered as a bright young girl with a promising future ahead of her. She was set to graduate early and had enrolled in psychology and sociology at Thompson Rivers University, according to the post.

The page also said Adison worked two jobs to buy her first vehicle.

A relative said the death had been hard on the family.

Adison died after being rushed to hospital from the Centre of Gravity music festival on Friday night.

Police said RCMP victim services are trying to support the family.

The Coroner’s office said the cause of death is still not known, but it is investigating.
