35-year-old man drowns at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park

The Moose Jaw RCMP, EMS and STARS Air Ambulance responded to a reported drowning at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park on July 28, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The 35-year-old male victim was reportedly attending a family gathering at the beach, when he reportedly entered the water and began struggling. A bystander attempted a rescue. The man was brought to shore and multiple people administered CPR, including RCMP.

When STARS arrived on the scene the man was pronounced deceased.

The man`s identity has not been released, but the RCMP said he was from the Regina area.

The Moose Jaw RCMP said they extend their gratitude to those who assisted in the rescue and CPR efforts.
