She says the death is considered suspicious, and while police have one man in custody, no charges have been laid.

“An autopsy is scheduled to be performed today to assist us with confirming the exact cause of death,” Rogers-Marsh told Global News.

The investigation has been handed to the force’s major crime unit, and the woman’s identity has not been released.

“It’s still an on-going investigation and our members are continuing to confirm exactly what happened,” Rogers-Marsh said.
