Investigators with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit South discovered a body in an open area near Gravelbourg on July 24. A forensic autopsy conducted in Regina on July 25 discovered that it was 48-year-old Claude Landry.
Landry went missing on July 13. His partner, Marie Moldovan, told Global News he was following a tip about their missing dog. He never returned.
The RCMP announced that it will be searching the Moose Jaw city dump for more evidence in the alleged murder of Landry for most of the day, July 26.

Robert Arams, 74, from Gravelbourg was charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a body on July 21. He already made his first court appearance in Moose Jaw. That case has been adjourned until August 7. He remains on remand.
A second man, David Earl Prentice, was arrested and charged by RCMP on July 23. The the 42-year-old Lafleche, Sask. man is charged with indignity to a body. He made his first court appearance in Regina Tuesday morning.
Shauna Prentice, 41, has also been charged in relation to this investigation. The RCMP said her charges are not related to Landry’s death. The Lafleche, Sask., is charged with public mischief and providing a false sworn statement to investigators.
Landry’s family has been notified of the discovery.
Earlier this week, Moldovan said Landry had a troubled past, but had worked to turn his life around. She descrbied him as a selfless man who regularly went out of his way to help others.
