Two more light rail vehicles have arrived in Kitchener to join the growing ION fleet.
Vehicles No. 7 and 8 are currently still on rail cars and will not officially be transferred from Bombardier to Grand River Transit until they are offloaded to the operations, maintenance and storage facility (OMSF).

A Waterloo region spokesperson said the next vehicle is scheduled to arrive in August.
There will be 14 cars in the LRV fleet, which is scheduled to begin service in December.
Earlier this month, after it was announced that new TTC cars manufactured by Bombardier needed repairs for welding issues, the region said Bombardier was inspecting the ION LRV cars.
