Every Monday on Adopt a Pal, Global News Morning features rescues in Manitoba to help them find forever homes.
Meet the four puppies from Manitoba All Shepherd Rescue (MASR) featured on Global News Morning:
Dandi was rescued from up north in rough shape with a vehicle and puncture injury, which was infected. Dandi pulled through, has now healed, and is looking to join a caring family.
Chuck came to the rescue on a flight of 19 puppies who were part a multi-rescue effort in a Manitoba fire zone. Many of the puppies have found homes but Chuck, who loves cuddles and people, is still waiting for a family.
Licorice is a unique fluffy shepherd pup who was born in rescue along with a few siblings. She is part of the Sweetie litter. Licorice is very calm and one of two fluffy pups in her family.
Nika and her sister were found as abandoned strays walking around. A community member found them, kept them safe and then sent them to MASR. She came into rescue with her sister, who was adopted. Now Nika, with adorable pointy ears, is ready to find a home.
If you’re interested in adopting a dog contact the rescue here. Foster homes are crucial to helping dogs stay safe before they find a permanent place to live. MASR relies entirely upon fosters. Here’s how to get involved.
There is also a need for volunteers and other support for the registered charity. Organizers say people can donate their food or time.
