Police in Halifax have determined that a man’s death at a shelter in May is not suspicious.
Officers responded May 6 at 10 a.m. to the Metro Turning Point shelter at 2170 Barrington St. to a report of an unresponsive man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, his death was treated as suspicious and was investigated by the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division in conjunction with the Medical Examiner Office.
Last week, the Medical Examiner Office confirmed with investigators that the man’s death was not deemed to be suspicious.
Police say they’ve concluded their investigation into this matter and are sending their thoughts to the family of the man.
