A Trent Hills man faces numerous charges following a high-risk takedown in Hastings on Thursday night.
Around 9 p.m., Northumberland OPP responded to the Hastings area, east of Peterborough, for reports that a man was allegedly threatening people with a knife.
The suspect was located in a silver sedan but sped off from officers, according to OPP.
He was located a short distance away and officers initiated a high-risk takedown and arrested the man.
John Clark, 57, of Trent Hills, was charged with:
• Uttering threats (two counts)
• Possession of a weapon
• Causing a disturbance
• Possession of a schedule II substance
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Assault with a weapon
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Friday.
