A 19-year-old Peterborough man faces charges after allegedly slashing a person who was reported missing.

On Wednesday, police were investigating a report of a missing person. It led them to a Bolivar Street address where the missing female was located (her age was not disclosed).

Police said they learned a man allegedly slashed the individual several times with a sharp instrument and threatened to kill her.

Tyler Bright, of no fixed address, was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breach of probation.

He was held in custody to appear before the courts on July 5.
