The series comes at an exciting time in local politics, with a municipal election coming Oct. 20.
It’s shaping up to be one of the most competitive elections in a generation, with nearly half of the region’s 21 mayors announcing they won’t seek re-election.
Mayors Day is a chance to offer Metro Vancouver listeners unprecedented access to their local officials.

Each mayor will join an on-air host for a two-hour co-hosting stint.
They will help interview guests, and engage with open-line listeners on the flashpoint issues in their own communities.
“Mayors Day is about providing listeners across all of the Lower Mainland with compelling, community-based talk,” said Larry Gifford, Senior Program Director.
