Editor’s note: We have updated this article to include the Starlite Drive-in Grand Bend, Picton’s Mustang Drive-in, the Lindsay Drive-in and the Port Hope Drive-in.
Many believe drive-in movie theatres are a thing of the past, but in Ontario there is an abundance of them still operating and showing the latest blockbusters to carloads of people every summer.
There are at least 17 drive-in movie theatres still standing from the London area to the Ottawa area. If you are planning on hitting the road this summer, stopping at one to catch a couple of flicks is a great way to get the nostalgia flowing and makes for an excellent family night out.
We have broken down all the Ontario drive-ins still operating and what they have to offer.

A few things to note about all the above drive-in theatres in Ontario. None of them allow outside food or drinks, as this is how they make a profit to stay open. Most of them also have special long weekend “all-nighters” where they play three or four movies instead of two. You can expect to pay about $1 extra for general admission on these nights.
