Roofers sparked a small structure fire in Kelowna’s Mission area mid-Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. at a business owned by a notary public on Cedar Avenue. The blaze was sparked by roofers using a propane torch.

Employees scrambled to salvage important documents from the single storey structure as firefighters arrived. The six people inside escaped without injury.
Damage is estimated at $10,000.
Both the roofer and the notary public have insurance.
