Just a few weeks ago, the entire downtown core of Montreal was flooded after a water main pipe burst: the result of years of neglect of the city’s infrastructure.

Montreal has already invested millions of dollars into fixing its infrastructure. The city is three years in to a ten-year infrastructure plan to shore up its water problem.
With investment from the Federal and provincial governments, City of Montreal officials are hoping that many much-needed improvements can be made.
“We try to do the best that we can do each year, but we cannot do more,” said Montreal Executive Committee President Laurent Blanchard.
