Ongoing investigation after police, SWAT and crisis negotiators clear Regina home

On Thursday morning, the Regina Police Service (RPS) received an emergency services call from a home in the 400 block of McIntyre Street.

RPS, crisis negotiators and members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) were on scene trying to negotiate a safe resolution with people inside the home and have them exit and talk with officers.

At 11:24 a.m., police were able to confirm that SWAT and crisis negotiators have cleared the scene.

Five people have exited the home and the building has been cleared.

The RPS have confirmed a criminal investigation is ongoing.
