Canadians are placing hockey sticks on their front porches in honour of the victims of the bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.
Among those taking part in the #PutYourSticksOut campaign, is Speaker of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly Kevin Murphy, who left a stick outside Province House.
“First of all, I’m a hockey dad and come from a hockey family, and the events that occurred in Humboldt on Friday deeply affected myself and my family and I think just about every member of this house,” he said.
“It was a very small but humble showing of support that we could do here at this assembly … for the community of Humboldt, the people involved with the Broncos.”
