Prince Albert police are reminding people to collect their mail daily after several community mailboxes were broken into in the northern Saskatchewan city.
Police said they received five separate reports Tuesday morning.
All were in the area of Crescent Acres and the East Hill.

No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate.
Along with daily removal of mail, police have other tips to keep mail safe:
- use the hold mail service to suspend delivery during extended periods away from home;
- advise banks, companies and Canada Post of any change of address;
- contact any senders if mail fails to arrive; and
- shred all documents containing financial information, such as billing statements and credit card offers.

People who think they may have been a victim of identity theft should contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or through the centre’s fraud reporting system.
