A head-on collision east of Grande Prairie killed one local man and sent another to hospital Thursday evening.
RCMP said it happened at around 5 p.m. on the Forestry Trunk Road at the eight-kilometre mark near Debolt, where a pick-up truck collided head-on with a semi-truck.

A 22-year-old man from Grande Prairie, who was a passenger in the pick-up truck, died.
The 39-year-old man driving the pick-up, who was also from Grande Prairie, was flown via STARS Air Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie in life-threatening condition.
The man driving the semi-truck was not injured.
Police did not know the cause of the collision, which remains under investigation.
Debolt is about 55 kilometres east of Grande Prairie in northwestern Alberta.
