The London Knights will look to extend their season when they host the Owen Sound Attack Thursday night.

All three games have been decided by one goal, but London has been on the losing end of all three.

Assistant coach Rick Steadman says they’ll be looking to ride the momentum from the home crowd at Budweiser Gardens.

“We’re in front of our fans again, they’ll be out there cheering and yelling for us, every little hit, every little play, every single shot, they’re behind us 100 per cent,” said Steadman.

“If we can go out and take that momentum, let the fans push us, get some shots on net and see what happens.”

The Knights are trying to avoid their first opening-round sweep since 1995 when they bowed out to the eventual OHL Champion Detroit Jr Red Wings.

Overage forward Tyler Rollo says although the season is on the line, they can’t get caught up in what’s at stake.

“It’s just another game, you have to look at it like it’s another regular season game, you just gotta work hard, finish checks, block shots and do all the little things. That’s how you win hockey games.”

Four times an OHL team has climbed back from a three-game deficit to win a series, done most recently by the Peterborough Petes in 2014. Despite dropping the first three games of their opening-round series against Kingston, the Petes came back to take the set in seven games.

As far as the Western Conference is concerned, the Windsor Spitfires battled back from a similar deficit in the 2014 conference final against the Kitchener Rangers.

Despite the Rangers being a win away from the OHL final, the Spits rattled off four straight wins en route to their second straight OHL and Memorial Cup Championships.
