Body found in western Newfoundland, autopsy planned to determine identity

STEPHENVILLE, N.L. – An autopsy will be done to determine the identity of a body that was found Wednesday evening on the shore of West Bay on the Port Au Port Peninsula of western Newfoundland.

RCMP say it is too early to say whether the body is that of a duck hunter who was reported lost in the area on Jan. 28.

Police say they will have more information once the autopsy is completed in St. John’s and the identity of the body is confirmed.
