Early Friday, Global News captured a person dressed as Spider-Man climbing Norwood Bridge in Winnipeg.

We can report the person safely made it off the bridge and walked away without injury.

Winnipeg police said they don’t often get calls about people randomly climbing bridges in the city.

“We won’t be investigating this any further because the intentions are unclear. You just hope the person wasn’t doing it for a dare and doesn’t suffer from a mental illness,” Const. Tammy Skrabek said.

Anyone caught climbing a city bridge or building could face penalties. Skrabek said if someone were to be charged for such an act, it would be for public mischief.
