WINNIPEG – The provincial men’s curling champion Reid Carruthers’ foursome will have a new look next season.

Team Carruthers announcing on Twitter that third Braeden Moskowy is leaving the team.

The move is effective immediately as Team Carruthers will use a spare for the rest of the season starting with this week’s Grand Slam, the Elite 10 in Winnipeg.

Moskowy, who is from Regina, leaves the team after four years together.

Together they won the Manitoba men’s curling championship twice, first in 2015 and then again this year. But both times they failed to qualify for the playoff round at the Brier.

Carruthers confirmed the rest of the team is sticking together, so Carruthers, second Derek Samagalski and lead Colin Hodgson have begun the search for a new teammate. Carruthers said they have a few names in mind for a replacement but haven’t finalized anything yet. They hope to make an announcement on their new teammate in the next few weeks.
