A Peterborough man faces impaired driving charges following a motor vehicle collision on Monday night.
Peterborough police say around 11:25 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Lansdowne and Aylmer streets.
Police said an officer noted an odour of an alcoholic beverage on one of the driver’s breath.
“A subsequent breath sample revealed the driver had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system,” stated police.
Scott Andrew Mount, 35, of Erskine Avenue, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 mg blood alcohol content.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 5.
