Penticton airport to get $5 million facelift

The Penticton Regional Airport is getting a $5 million face lift, according to federal government documents.

A notice of proposed procurement has been issued by Public Works and Government Services Canada.

The “Penticton ATB reconfiguration project” will involve the expansion of the security area, arrivals terminal, ticketing area, post-security departure gate, and new restaurant.

The project was sent to tender on Dec. 4 and the process closed on Feb. 7.

The estimated price tag is $5 million to $5.4 million.

Supply specialist Ken Ngan said a contract will be awarded by the end of the week.
