Man shot in Saskatoon during alleged armed robbery

A man is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after he was shot late Thursday evening during an alleged armed robbery.

Saskatoon police were called to the 1600-block of 22nd Street West at around 11 p.m. CT for a report of an armed robbery.

Officers arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound to his torso.

He was taken to Royal University Hospital in stable condition.

Police said the shooting happened outside of buildings in the area.
