CALGARY – The Canadian Border Services Agency says a seizure of 65 grams of heroin last month is the ‘most significant’ drug seizure they’ve made in Calgary, in 2013.

The drugs were discovered inside a wooden statue, in a courier shipment destined for Saskatoon.
CBSA officers have made 55 drug seizures since January 1, including:
45 kilograms of khat
70 grams of opium
1,400 doses of steroids
10 litres of safrole, a precursor chemical used in the production of MDMA (ecstasy).
