Regina may ask to increase debt limit to $450 million

A hot topic at Tuesday night’s executive committee meeting is the Queen City’s debt limit. 

The city will look at asking the Saskatchewan municipal board to exclude a 100-million dollar loan from the city’s debt limit.

The money comes from the province and is slated to go towards building the new stadium 

If the loan is not exempt the city plans to ask for the debt limit to be increased to 450 million dollars.
