A suspected automobile theft led police on a dramatic chase through the streets of Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.
The driver of the pick up truck swerved onto the sidewalk and crashed into a taxi at an intersection in an attempt to outrun law enforcement. The suspect then sped right into a subway tunnel, where he fled the vehicle, according to local media.

Police eventually caught up with the man and led him out in handcuffs where he was met by reporters.
Video of the incident captured a KCBS news chopper pilot taunting the suspect.
“Why’d you do it? … Whose pickup truck was that?” the pilot chided.
The pilot even jested about the suspect’s shoes.
“Are those Vans? Are you wearing Vans?”
