London police charge three after nearly $400k in drugs seized across three cities

London police say two men and a woman face charges after officers discovered nearly $400,000 in drugs at three locations.

With the help of the Ontario Provincial Police, London police’s Guns and Drugs section raided a home on Raleigh Crescent in London, a nail salon on Talbot Street in St. Thomas, and a Dundas East home in Toronto. They also searched two vehicles.

As a result, officers seized the following items:

• Two kilograms of cocaine (street value $201,000)
•  8 kilograms grams of hashish (street value $161,880)
•  30 grams of crack cocaine (street value $3,000)
•  1.795 kilograms of marihuana (street value $17,950)
•  3 grams of psilocybin (street value $30)
•  1.758 kilograms of phenacetin (street value $12,400)
• Approximately $50,000 in cash

Hieu Nguyen, 31, and Kim Mai, 32, both of London, and Leonidas Economopoulos, 41, from Toronto, are jointly charged with conspiracy to commit trafficking, possession of stolen property, and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Nguyen and Mai also face a joint charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking, while Economopoulos faces two additional charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and unlawful possession.

All of the accused appeared in court on Saturday, and are set to appear again Tuesday.
