This year's Pink Shirt Day theme is Be Someone's Hero. Rebecca Ulrich from the Canadian Red Cross joined Global News Morning to talk about the campaign – Feb 20, 2018

The Canadian Red Cross is leading Pink Day celebrations in schools and workplaces Feb. 28 and April 11.

The theme for the events is ‘Be Someone’s Hero’. People are encouraged to be a hero by standing up to or speaking out against bullying.

Pink Day is the annual celebration of bullying prevention which was started in Nova Scotia in 2007 and was inspired to raise funds to support bullying prevention programs.

Schools and workplaces can register to take part in Pink Day by visiting the Canadian Red Cross website.

Pink Day shirts can also be purchased at London Drugs in the St. Vital Centre.
