Habitat for Humanity hosted a promotional booth at Feb Fest Sunday, to help raise awareness and funds.
For a dollar, participants could hammer five nails into a block of wood. All were timed and the person who hammered all five the fastest, won a gift basket courtesy of the Downtown B.I.A.
“What we’re hoping to do is increase public awareness about Habitat for Humanity, and what we’re doing locally. We’re helping working families realize the dream of home ownership and telling them about the builds we have ongoing,” says Chris Catry, resource development co-ordinator at Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region.
The organization is hoping get new volunteers on board.
