B.C. tea recalled in Canada over salmonella fears

A brand of herbal tea made in B.C. is being recalled because of the possibility of salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a warning about Abbotsford-based Tega organic Lemon Hibiscus Green Rooibos Herbal Tea. It is sold in packs of 24 bags and is available across B.C., the western provinces, Ontario and Quebec.

Nu-Tea Company, which produces the tea, is voluntarily recalling the product, however there have been no reports of illness linked to the tea.
