A new high-end restaurant is open in one of Winnipeg’s most historic buildings.
Jane’s restaurant is housed on the main floor of Red River College’s Paterson GlobalFoods Institute.
The 90-seat restaurant allows for students in the Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management programs to gain practical experience.

Each year, 140 students will graduate from the program.
Named after Jane Paterson, the restaurant features an open kitchen and a bar in the unique setting for the Union Bank Tower.
The 109-year-old building on Main Street is Canada’s first skyscraper. It sat empty for 18 years before Red River College moved in. The building also houses student residences.
Jane’s will serve its first meal to the public on February 26.
