B.C. selected the five-foot-11, 196-pound Muamba in the sixth round, 34th overall, in the 2010 CFL draft from St. Francis Xavier.
In Winnipeg, he’ll join his brother, Henoc, a linebacker who the Bombers selected first overall in the 2011 CFL draft also from St. Francis Xavier.
“We are very pleased to lock up a Canadian player with Cauchy’s ability and potential,” said general manager Joe Mack in a statement. “We feel he will add immediate depth to our roster and also an added locker room presence with his brother Henoc already in our organization and a big part of our defence.”
