The truck was en route to Fisherman’s Market, a seafood retailer in Bedford.

RCMP and the Department of Transportation closed that section of highway for several hours, as the company removed the fish and lobster by loading it onto another truck.

On the scene, whole haddock could be seen strewn among dirt and debris beside the heavily damaged truck cab.

RCMP say the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The matter remains under investigation but RCMP say no charges are expected.
