  • Driving sober. Roughly 25 people are killed in an impaired driving collision each year.
  • Don’t drive distracted. Each year in Manitoba, 28 people are killed as a result of distracted driving.
  • Wear a seat belt. On average, 20 people each year are killed in Manitoba for not wearing a seat belt.
  • Watch your speed. Driving over the speed limit claims roughly 21 lives each year in Manitoba with 600 people also sustaining injuries from speed related crashes.
  • Watch out for vulnerable road users including motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists. According to MPI, over the last eleven months in 2017, seven motorcyclists and eleven pedestrians died in motor vehicle related collisions.
